The design brief for this project was to turn a rudimentary suburban house into a grand villa with Classical detailing. The client wished to emulate the great stately homes of rural Britain by introducing a rendered finish and ashlar detailing to create a Palladian style aesthetic. The project also involved a new front porch, bathroom, kitchen, orangery, wider hallway and considerable internal remodelling on the ground floor. The first floor involved a new bedroom gable extension and a new bathroom.
